So... Skye Sweetnam is my new musical obsession...

I don't know how many of you have seen the Princess Ai music videos that Tokyo pop has been releasing... They alright. I don't think the voice is ANYTHING like what Ai's should have been. I pictured her to sound more like Amy Lee, personally, and Kent to sound more like Kurt Cobain. *shrugs* But anyways, I WAS intrigued by the singer however... In the first video there were no credits whatsoever. At the end of the second video released they credit "Nude feat. Skye." I found no real results... So I searched on iTunes and low and behold I found Skye Sweetnam. I came by her first single "Tangled Up In Me" and was not particularly impressed, it was a little remnisant of Avil Lavigne. Then... I found her youtube account and the song "Number One" won me over hands down. This girl rocks. She's optimistic, fun, down-to-earth, and she writes songs about being a teenaged girl, and not just about love. I relate to her shit (Smoke and Mirrors reminds me of me in 6th grade) and it makes me want to dawn some neon colors and dye my hair pink again. She's just honest. I couldn't avoid loving her. Her music is just so fun to listen to!

So, at the end of her video for her song Human there's some shots of her drawn as if in a comic book and I was inspired by that to draw this... And just have fun with it. A little Lisa Frank leaked into my style, but hey, no big deal... Not ever going to let that happen again, but yeah. It was a quick drawing/inking/coloring, a nice "last day of summer" pic cuz of the colors. *shrugs*
